Higher Blood Pressure Means You Drink Soda
According to research, reducing your soda intake can lower your blood pressure. Scientists from London’s Imperial College studied nearly 2,700 soda-lovers in 2011. High blood pressure was detected in those who consumed more than one sweetened beverage per day. It got worse as they continued to drink more sweetened beverages.
Researchers identified three culprits: glucose, fructose, and salt. These are the most commonly used sweeteners or preservatives in soda. You won’t notice the same effects with diet soda, so it is worth reducing your intake of one soda per day.
