Vegetables
Vegetables are good sources of fiber. They are not digested and absorbed, so they remain in the intestines. Although this is not a miracle food, the effects can be slow if constipation is present. It is recommended that you include vegetables in your daily diet. Some people may not be able to tolerate fiber. You should consult a doctor if this is the case. You should be aware that certain cooked vegetables can cause laxative symptoms, such as leeks, green beans, or peas. For salads, choose tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce instead of spinach.
