It can be challenging to keep up with your studies. However, if you’re looking to be a better learner and not someone who has constantly stressed the importance of consistency is paramount.
Here are some tips for practical use. I’d like to share this with you to keep on top of your schoolwork
1. Make sure you complete your assignment at least one day or two before the due date.
It should be manageable if you’re adhering to Principle #2 and keeping everything in a notebook.
2. Explore new subjects before your instructor teaches the topics in class.
A few days before learning about a new topic, read through your textbook’s relevant notes or chapters. Make sure you know the learning goals and headings, diagrams, and chapter summaries.
You’ll gain a solid understanding of the topic and learn the concepts faster during the class.
3. Check for any updates that you discover later in the day.
Let’s suppose you’ve learned about respiration while in Biology class. Or the Treaty of Versailles in history class and the population dynamics in geography class.
Then, later in the day, Review your notes and ensure that you understand every topic. So, you don’t be able to catch up.
4. Clarify your doubts immediately.
You’re looking over your notes and realize you do not understand a particular idea. Write down your concerns. If you can, discuss your concerns with your teacher as soon as possible.
Please do not put off the next exam or test to make this change, as it will create unnecessary stress.
Additionally, anxious students aren’t the best students. Make yourself a better candidate to be successful by asking questions whenever you are faced with questions.
5. Utilize online sources.
If you aren’t sure how to comprehend your teacher, you could always look up the Internet.
There are many educational resources on the Internet. Here are three of my favorites:
- Khan Academy
- SparkNotes
- BBC – GCSE Bitesize
6. Try it out frequently.
After you’ve learned about a subject:
- Take a test.
- Make sure you’ve learned the pertinent equations and definitions, concepts, and even facts.
- Practice a few questions to make sure you’ve learned the subject.
7. Participate in every class.
Do you think your teacher is the most boring in the world?
Take classes even if you don’t want to.
Your teacher understands the subject more than you as a student. Your teacher is also aware of which aspects are essential. Make sure you attend every class so you don’t have to spend your time reading irrelevant information.
However boring your instructor is, you must be sure to show up with an optimistic attitude, and you’ll learn something new from every class.
8. When it comes to planning projects, Always have an idea.
Do you hurry to finish the task just a few days before the deadline? This can lead to insomnia and unfinished assignments.
If you’re looking to be the best student in your class, create an outline. Begin by identifying the following:
- Objectives
- Tasks
- Sub-tasks
- Milestones
- Timelines
Use a tool such as Asana and use a tool like Trello or Asana to organize your tasks. Your tasks will be completed more efficiently and effectively.
9. Begin your preparation for the test early.
You’re following the top students'”Principle #2,” which means you’ve arranged the dates that you need to study for the tests that are coming up. Review the subjects regularly to avoid the need to memorize for tests.
Before you begin taking your test, make sure you know which subjects the teacher will include and the length and form of the exam.
Armed with this information, you can concentrate on studying the relevant data.
