Certain companies offer loyalty discounts once their customers hit the milestones. Keep track of them every few years or contact the company at renewal time and ask them if they provide an offer for loyalty discounts.
Uninterrupted history
Insurance history gaps could cause your insurance premium to rise. Even if there’s no need for any vehicle at present, consider if you could add yourself as a second driver on an individual family member or friend’s insurance to prevent gaps in your driving record.
Important Note to consider: The government in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba have auto insurance that the government runs, and in Quebec, the public insurer is responsible for the insurance program that covers bodily injuries only. If you’re from one of these provinces, you have a few options for shopping for coverage that is somewhat restricted, but you still have the chance to pick and decide which insurance options you need.
